hi everyone,

today was the first time that i fed frozen bloodworms to my 2 cuties. although the ghost shrimps seemed to have had a feast, my frogs didn't seem to enjoy them very much. i have fed them freeze dried blood worms for over a month (which they liked a lot).

wat i did was put the frozen bloodworms in a glass of aquarium water, let them defrost for 30m and put them in the aquarium. the longest worm would be around 3/4 inch. was there something wrong?

as i speak, my male has an unfinished worm in his mouth, and he's not swallowing it! (for 10-15m)

i hope they'll be ok. i'm pretty sure they got full though. 4-5 pieces each should be sufficient. (or too much? :S)

i'm planning to get guppy fries (spelling? ) soon

// cheers and thx for replies

Dunno what to tell you, all of my ADFs have devoured frozen bloodworms. I would say keep trying, put some in the tank and leave them for awhile.

yeh so i heard. so far i've only been feeding them with freeze dried bloodworms so yesterday was their first time. they'll prolly love it very soon. i'm planning on feeding them with a variety of food, including live food. i also that strictly bloodworm meals might be the cause of the bloating deaths. anyone heard anything about that?

Never heard that before, and that's pretty much all I feed mine.

The bloating is in malawi mbuna cichlids from bloodworms, is probably what they were thinking of.

Yeah same here, My ADF loves his frozen bloodworm, he tuns from a quiet shy little thing to a rabid mega beast, all legs and cartwheels, v.funny to watch.
