Adding Live Rock To Existing System?

I have a question that while searching throughout the internet, I can't get a straight answer. I have a 30 gallon hexagon tank (I gave wrong info before) that has about 12lbs of live rock, with some damsels, small crabs, snails, and a CC star. Is it too late to add more live rock to the existing setup? I don't really have the addition supplies to re-cure them myself, but if I were to add small amounts (like 2-3 lbs at a time) of pre-cured store bought live rock, would that crash my system, or would it be better to add another 10 lbs now and get it over with. Or would it just be stupid and go out and buy the stuff to cure it myself (Which I'd rather not do because I only want to add another 10 lbs or so)

2-3lbs at a time should be fine. The exisiting LR will have spare capcity to boost numbers to cope with die off.
