I dought i could critisise anything from those tanks. Pure awsomeness! :p  I do wanna know your secrest though! :shifty: :)

Mmmm very suspect indeed ! :shifty:
those tanks are just far too beautiful

thanks everyone but i dont really have any secrets just make sure low light plants are shaded by high light plants.

apart from that it's just a case of having your arm wet to the shoulder for about 6 hours a week. (3 on saturday for the main pruning plus endless little niggly bits that you notice as and when)

thanks again

ps which 12G set up do you all prefer the new one or the old one in my sig?

which ever way i'd love to know, i'm undecided personally.

The new one ! It's so lovely and lush.
And I'm still not convinced that looks like 12 Gallons ;)

Your tanks are stunning!

I like the new version of your 12g, your riccia work is amazing.

i like the new look *except* the riccia is a LITTLE overwhelming now...i still LOVE the look of the riccia following the contours of the driftwood, but, I kind of like it to be less of a centerpiece item as it is in the new layout...

its really hard to picture in my mind exaclty what the tank needs...basically i like to see the riccia growing low and probably not placed up above the midway line of the tank...or maybe you just need a few taller growing plants in between the different areas of riccia to kind of seperate them..

i do not know exactly what it needs and i am not criticizing at all (i just cant put my finger on what doesn't look right) - overall, though, the tank is absolutely amazing and i never knew it was only 12G !

looks beautiful!
ive only recently seen a tank thats been greatly done at that was a customer and a friends dad of mine...
but that is beautiful

Thanks Vixen, i'm quite chuffed with that comment considering where you work. heres a pic of one of the 2 little sterbae cories i bought from you a couple of months ago with mummy (or step mummy i suppose)

theyre getting along great.

Abstract: i totally agree, it's just not quite right.

i was thinking of planting some Ludwiga reapens in some of the gaps between the riccia (all that riccia is made up of 5 pieces of bogwood covered in riccia and put together like a jigsaw) so i can still get to the gravel in between the bits of wood.

unfortunatly that arrangement is the only way it will all fit in the tank, move anything and i'll have to remove at least one riccia log, hmmmm more fiddling needed i feel.

Bloozoo2, One Trick Pony, Chris Allsop and CometCattle: thank you so much for the comments really appreciated.
Jimbooo.

wow the tank is amazing and sooo clean!

thanks the waters always clear but i cant get rid of the last bit of algae.

if you look in the top of this picture you'll see the bright green fluffy stuff in behind the java moss and on the side of the wood. (i feel guilty receiving all this praise. it's not perfect by any means)
