ive emailed him and explained the situation and he replied to ring him back but ive not been able to get hold of him yet. i think the fish is about on its last legs, its not eaten for about a month now. ive treated with wormerplus, sera nematol and esha hexamita and plenty of water changes with no improvement and without going to the vet im stuck for ideas. i dont want to sound tight but the cost of the vet fees is almost the cost of a replacement unless the supplier offers me a replacement or a decent discount on another discus.....

why is metro not available off the shelf in the UK but in the USA it is?

i completely understand why youre reluctant to get the vet out £45 foir the visit then the cost of the med which if its coming from a vet aint gonna be cheap, when it seems like this poor fish is doomed anyway is a perfectly reasonable decision in my book. good luck with the dealer .

I have no idea why you can only get Metro through the vet in the UK.. That's really too bad though as it's a really good med.

the discus has died today it had a green patch behind 1 of its fins that wasnt there before.... i knew it was coming, in a good way though at least the fish is out of pain now.

That's too bad. Make sure to watch them eat before purchase, next time you buy from that supplier.
