Yeah, the ban is in the UK. I see there are ads on websites like gumtree, Freeads and eBay for people selling them but they are always too far from me!

some people are sending them by Royal Mail but is that not a bit risky/ cruel??

Not at all, I have sent many by post and received many in this way with no adverse effects to the snails as long as they are kept damp i.e wrapping them in damp kitchen roll and well boxed and padded for the journey they will survive just fine.

I just got 4 black Japanese trapdoor snails. They are adorable. Also they are livebearers so they aren't as prolific as many other snails... They get kinda large tho
