Is it safe for use in the reef aquarium, Despite its benefits some experts say it deprives corals of important minerals. Is this true ?

Some people run carbon, I do and everything seems to be doing fine but ive read of others whos xenias, dont do so great when people run it, so im assuming it can take out important minerals.
