thats very nice!!!

is it acropora?

i think it is, but not 100% lol
plus i know ive spelt it wrong anyways :(

its at the top of the tank and im running 2 marine blue T8s and 2 marine white T8s.
wanted T5s but thats on my list as the jewell light rigs arent cheap :(

dont think that will be anywhere near enough PAR, blues dont contribute much so two white T8s isnt going to be enough i dont think

I don't think it's going to last to long then unfortunatley, sps need intense lighting (Halides ideally) strong flow and tip top water parameters.

the water is perfect and it has around 4500 lph flow

so im best off changing to T5s sooner thanm later then?
or even the new arcadia LED lights? they are super super bright!!

Definatley upgrade the lighting to at least T5, the acro will not survive long with T8's

Can't comment on the arcadia led's but the tmc tiles are meant to be good.

As for perfect water what do you test for and what are the results?

LEDS arent really strong enough for acroporas unless you get a lot.

You say your water is perfect...what params are you testing and what results?

it would be dead within a month if lighting wasnt improved and water not spot on. what sized tank is it?

It depends on the LEDs. You need high powered ones and a lot of them, and their depth penetration is very weak.
Just go with the T5s- and quickly!

i test for nitrate, nitirte, ammonia, calcium, phosphates and ph. its the new test strip kits, my LFS does them for me whenever i need them for free :)

at last test 2 days ago everything was perfect except my calium is a bit high up, mainly due to using purple tech a week before

im gonna see about getting a T5 light unit for the rio this week, but they not cheap :(
either that or i can get a strip of leds to go over that part of the tank for £20 from a friend who isnt using it anymore :)

EDIT - sorry, its a Rio 180 so 3foot. has external eheim pro huge canistor filter, a tmc uv steriiser, the internal jewell filter box and 2 coralias, one each end.
