Just a friendly reminder to be careful, use judgment and take your time when acclimating new corals and fish to your aquarium. Today I purchased several frags and one nano fish. I asked the manager what they keep the s.g of their tanks at and he responded that the fish were kept at 1.014 and corals at 1.025. My tank runs at 1.026.

I'm sure you can see that adding my corals would be a snap. But...whoa..look at the gap in s.g. for the fish. Imagine acclimating that fish to temp only and then dumping him in the tank. NOT! However, my reason for posting this is that after 1-2 hours of adding water to the bag, changing out and repeating, I decided to check the s.g. It had ONLY gone up to 1.020.

Review Navarre's thread and just be careful with your new purchases. SH
