You must have a very kind heart to be so upset by this poor dog's predicament. But please remember that you are talking about the internet. Not everything that everyone writes is always the truth.
There's a very real possibility that there is no dog at all. Unfortunately, there are people who will say or do anything to get a sympathetic response from someone. The suggestion that he needed a ride, which meant making personal contact with you, or others, is suspicious too. Please be very cautious whenever you run into something like this.
From time to time the mods find people like that who have joined TFF just to upset our members. Their posts usually involve fighting bettas or other aggressive fish or feeding their fish to bigger ones, or the like. When the mods spot something like that, we remove them and contact the member who posted it, and we do it to protect our members from needless heartbreak and/or horror.
It's sometimes a sad world these days where things are not always what they seem to be.
