These are the fish that were caught out at the wreck on a very nice day.

The vis was only around 7 metres and the swell was nearly a metre, but it didn’t prevent a top day out.

This wreck is nearly half way from Stradbroke Island to Moreton Island just out behind the surf on the bar.

The recent rough seas have exposed a lot of it and it is a reasonable wreck now to have a top snorkel at.

The following pics are what was gotten there and a couple of ordinary videos of a swim around the wreck.

The only cray seen on the day would have been 3 kilos, missed it by that much!!!

There are two more trips in our members section, the one two days ago was a mind blower!!

This is where we were, just next to the wreck, which is just under the water down to 30 plus feet.

Wow that wreck is absolutely bursting with marine life isn't it. I would love to one day go scuba diving somewhere like there or in a full blown reef... GBR being at the top of the list :)

Btw what do you do with the fish you catch?

This would have been the quitest trigger i have seen, very good nature!

We always divide all that we get among the members, who is there gets first choice.

One of the new guys,on our amazing trip that was had on Sunday(it is in our members forum for a while, its not quite finished, but it is there for registered users to look at while it is being compiled) ,as he swam along he was saying, can I have that one and that one, when he saw it and to some degree we would get it for him and show him how it is done so he can get his own, in time.

Many a time you would hear, does any one want this one, from one of the members as they went along.

the new guy was given a semicirculatus,bi colour angel,bi coloured blennie,a dragonet, banded shrimp, cleaner wrasse, cole tang and a couple of rock skippers,I think that was it, he has to bring something for three meetings now.

I only kept one fish, for our pres and I, it is just for fun and exercise and to be there amongst the marine life as we have been doing for a lot of years now.

When a fish or invert is given away that person has to bring something to a meeting to have with hot drinks as some catering for club meetings as such.

The club has been doing these trips since the 1920s,it is only two of us that wants them on the internet,to promote us.
