I need some help, I think one of the fish i bought (a proper guppy) had ICH when i bought it and it is spreading it all over my tank. I know there are treatments out there to kill this stuff, but i would like to know if my fish are too late to be saved!

half of the fish in my tank already have white spots on their body, and two or three of the already infected fish are just sitting under the filter, is it too late to save them!

I'm going out tomorrow to buy a treatment if anyone could recommend a good med for these guys.

I dont know much about medications, but If you use the search button up there, you will find a lot of threads about it.

Get that med asap. And good luck with your fish.

Where-ish are you located? A good medication would be Ick Clear made by Jungle...

i just bought the med this morning but i woke up to find one of my proper guppies dead and one of my black mollies fighting for his life.

the med says to wait 48 hours but i dont know if this little guy has that long :-(

I think i read in a thread that upping the temperature can help use the search control in the emergency section for ich and you might get some useful information good luck

ok well some good news i have heated my tank up to 86* F and started the treatment about 5 hours ago and the fish are returning to their normal selfs, except for the black mollie who had it really bad he is still at the bottom of the tank gasping for air (I dont think he will make it). but over all i think its going to be a success :)

Just remeber to continue to treat for however long the bottle says, that is the biggest mistake people make and leads to the misconception that ich exists in every tank which is not the case.

i think my black mollie might have a little more than ICH it's anus is inflamed and its twirling when it swims.

What are your water stats currently? This may be contributing to your black mollies problem.
Also what medication are you using?
