AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH! scum mark still there!

Yes the mark is still there on the insidef of the tank on both sides ( cant turn the tank round!) I am looking for natural methods or cleaners (no chemicals), no a stanley knife doesn't work,

any ideas?..

I've used vinegar and a plastic scourer before and it works wonders

have u tried bleach? 1:20 solution. I am assuming there are no fish in this tank.

no i am trying not to use chemicals, there are no fish or water in the tank

have you tried using vinegar mixed with salt.

yer tried vinegar and salt, the mark is from where I have taken out the seperator, glass was silconed in

how about baking soda? It's scrubby, yet gentle enough as to not scratch the glass. It's still good enough to get rid of hard water marks, etc...

If it's silicon, you might need to try something with alcohol in it.

Hey, Bloomjack, you should let people know it is silicone residue. This will save a repetition of your other thread, and avoid advice from people thinking it limescale. Just a thought, it will save your time and everyone elses (why a new thread, btw?)
