i always have spare heaters/filters and light tubes around :p

but we have all done or will do what you have done :D

Brand New room temperature heater still in box, and closing electric garage door . . . squish

We've all dumb stupid things.
 
I do it all the time -so far I have been lucky

Your tank should be fine as long as your room aint freezing :D
 
Yeah, water has a high latent heat capacity so, while it takes a lot of energy to heat it up, it takes a long time to release the stored energy (heat). You should be fine till tomorrow :)
 
Carrying old tropiquarium (with completely integrated electrics) into new house, put the plug in my pocket to stop myself tripping over it, but it down on the ktchen sidebaord and walked off with the plug still in my pocket...

Amazingly the tank put a hole in the lino (great start in a new flat) but survived pretty much intact for another couple of years!

I'm on my fourth heater and only had my tank running for 9 mths! Heating Wc water is the culprit :angry:
 
ive been lucky not to electricute myself with all the heaters ive blown up
