A whole new challenge...................

That's wonderful. It sounds like he's going to the best place he could possibly go.

I'm glad you found a rescue organization rather than trying to take care of him yourself. That speaks very well of you, and very well for his prognosis.

Well done Sam for taking the time and effort to help Stumpy and for making sure he gets the best possible care ;)

Sounds like Stumpy is going to the best place for him. Poor little thing. I didn't know they are a protected species. My dog got hold of one once, it came into the patio and she saw it before I did. Anyway their slime is very unpleasant to animals so she had to let it go. It was fine after. The dog gagged for ages! I didn't like my dog doing things like that but I suppose it is in their nature. She was a Scottish Terrier. At least she had an excuse, no human does.

:D  poor thing
i hope he likes it and gets retured to the wild or get a nice home in a pond somewhere

I didn't know about the time limit on regeneration!
I rescued a frog from a cat years ago and the foot it had lost grew back completely. I guess it must have been less than two years old. *shrugs*

St Tiggywinkles is perfect for stumpy, I've taken a couple of hedgehogs there before and they really care.
