Where the deer and the antelope play
Somebody else suggested this a while back, but I thought it was a good one so I'll bring it up again. @dascrow @Chad I sometimes enjoy clicking on people's location in their name tab to see where they are. Would it be possible to do something like that with award-winners? Click on "Fish of the month" et al, and it takes us to the winner thread so we can see what they did?

I think that would be a lot of fun. Just an idea. Thanks!

This has been suggested by a member before. If you want to do all hours of work that would entail, maybe dascrow could give you access. ;)

What riffraff ? Not a single community I participated in could be more trouble free...

Myself: "Well that would be a lot of study, but it can surely be done". Anything has been proven to be doable with data.

Project manager: "We need a complete schematic of the current software "logic" And probably a software designer engineer in addition of a couple reliable coders".

Zuckerberg: "GET ON IT !!!"

The reason our site is almost trouble free is that the mods (especially Essjay) weed out the riffraff among newly registered users.

Yes that's what I was basically stating...

There's a really big difference between administration of a software and "Programming it" as complicated as it can be.

Both sides.

At some point you rarely see the user rewriting the code of a software to fit his goal, even with open source.

Participating in basic software development of this platform would require total confidence in the "writer" of the code by the owners. And that would have to be somewhat earned in the first place.

And also as an "owner" I would tend to not try to fix something that already works.
