:D I have major excitement in the house today. Tomorrow my boys are getting an early christmas present......A Rio 125 fish tank for their bedroom. They are tidying their bedroom like little angels and there is non-stop chatter about which fish they want to get and how they are going to furnish their very own tank.
Bless them!! It certainly makes a change from football talk and whether Chelsea will win and who they are playing.
I thought I'd just share their joy and my peace and happiness that they are helping me to clean house. :fun:

I'm glad that my tank will be very much appreciated
I'll see you around 11am :D

Congrats Chali!

I think fishkeeping is one of the best things a parent can encourage their kids into.

What fish are they interested in? :dunno:

Yes......Thank you Wolf. It is indeed thanks to you. ;)
The kids are thinking along the lines of a community of smallish fish.....to include panchax of some description,a fair few middle swimmers and a couple of bottom dwellers(my youngest definitely wants a bristlenose!!)
I guess we are going to have to go fish shopping lots in the near future!!

I have had lampeye panchax [Aplocheilichthys macrophthalmus] in this tank and they are a very nice little fish. They are a bit sensative to water conditions, so you may loose some, but they are well worth a try.

My little fellas like the golden wonder panchax.........cfc gave us one a year or so ago and they fell in love then!! :)

:D Update.........Wolf brought the tank round yesterday and its now in place and ready(when I have added old media) to put some fish in.
Just need the kids to decide on a definite stocking plan now.......should be fun!!
