Hi all,

Long time since I've been here, but I've kept checking the pages. To cut a long story short I had some real life issues that got in the way of fishkeeping and I'm hoping I'm on the road to recovery now, so thought I'd return to the site I used to visit so often.

I've had a massive downsize from approximately 1,250 (5 tanks) litres of water to approximately 530 (2 tanks) litres of water.

I decided to set up one aquarium in the living room as a 'show tank' - well thats the theory. The tank only has 1 fish - a Paratilapia polleni, I'm undecided on tankmates at the moment, thinking of some rainbows for dithers, some sort of catfish and maybe a BN plec.

All pictures taken without flash - I'm really hoping that this fish develops into a good looking fish, its only around 1-2" at the moment but I think it has potential.

I'm undecided as yet, thinking about an albino BN plec - will stand out against the background hopefully, I did consider a golden nugget but am wary due to their reputation of being less than hardy, plus how it would mix with the polleni as well as how it would be with the plants. I'm leaning towards a group of rainbowfish at the moment.

wow! That fish is gorgeous!

Cheers :good:
