mhancock, I forgot to check back and didn't realize that you had asked for the photos. There's really not that much to see, but after I give you the details here, if you you still want some pics, they're yours.
The set up: I purchased two python water change/gravel cleaning systems, along with several python accessories that would serve to complete the setup from amazon. I actually got two of the porter straps, one for each section of hose. I removed both end sections from the 50ft python, and on one end I attached the hook, and on the other end I removed all the original hardware so I could attach it to the submersible pump which is #6 on my list of products below. The only other component not listed below is a 70 gallon heavy duty outdoor plastic trash bin that I purchased at Home Depot. You would typically use such a container to put full bags of garbage in until garbage day when you would wheel it out to the road for weekly pick up.
IMO it's critically important to let your fishes water age for at least 24 hours prior to use, in addition to chemically treating to eliminate what aging alone cannot. It's also important of course to stabilize the water's temperature prior to changing out 60-70% of the tanks water volume. Such a storage container makes all that a breeze.
Methodology: Very simply use the longer python system like you typically would to clean the gravel and change out your old dirty water for new fresh clean water in the tank of your choosing. If you're not sure how the python system works (not directed at the OP specifically, but rather anyone interested) there are plenty of youtube videos that demonstrate it's amazing efficiency and ease of use. Once the water level is where you want it to be, you can go turn off the water that's creating the accelerated siphon action. At this time you run your shorter python hook set up over to the tank and drape it over it's edge. The other end of the hook hose is outfitted with the pump which is already fully submersed and stuck to the bottom of the fresh water storage container with suction cups where it resides all the time. You plug in the pump and it drains the storage container into the 60-70% empty tank that you're working on. Once the tank is filled back up and it's heater is plugged back in, you're done with the water change apart from filling your storage container back up. You just drape your siphon actuated gravel cleaner end over the fresh water container's edge, close the pintol valve on the longer python, and turn the water back on to fill up your water aging vat. You're done typically in about 20 minutes.
