A Little Puzzled

He still seems to be holding it clamped to his body, except during a few instances. He has spread it out for me to see this afternoon, and it appears free of any physical defect. He won't flare, because he's afraid of EVERYTHING, especially his own reflection, my pen, and my flashlight. He runs and hides from all of the above. He still spends a considerable amount of time hanging out next to Narcissus, who's in the tank next to him.

He DID spread that tail out, though. And he's extremely active today. Fat, too, because he's finally eating what I'm giving him.

He's still holding his tail more clamped together than I like, but he can and does spread it out. He's absolutely terrified of anything coming near him, but at least I know his tail is all right.

I suppose moving him to a rather calm, quiet, dark place is kind of out of the question cuz then he'd be missing his little buddy, huh?

Hrm....

I have him in the corner where my computer is, since I'm here frequently and can keep an eye on him (that's one of the reasons Narcissus is over here, too, since he was a rescue, as well). He's not bothered by me, and he's gotten used to the clicking and clacking of my keyboard (I think he figured that, since Narcissus isn't bothered by it, he shouldn't be, either). But I lift a pen, hold a flashlight, move my speaker, anything...and he just goes ballistic.

I may move him somewhere quieter, and take Narcissus, too, but Narcissus has since become one of my favorite companions (he's a total clown), and I think I'd miss the little guy too much.

I hope so!

He used to spook like crazy every time I moved, but now he comes over to my fingertips and looks at me hopefully. I know he's just begging for more food, but it's still cute. :)
