Without a picture or scientific name we can't help.

If you saw the fish at a shop, it could be a baby catfish that grows huge or it could be anything really.

I heard they can be found lurking...in the shadows.

They are cute, but in the picture they look like they may have seen a ghost. Or like the male cory in the video @mbsqw1d posted in the "Doin the do" thread.

I haven't found them available anywhere. Probably be next spring before I have a place for them, anyway.
