A Little Advice Would Be Nice......

Hello,

I'm thinking of turning my tank into a planted one.... not to involved though.... just some Java Moss, Ferns and possibly some Riccia.

I've read the guides in this forum ( which are fantastic !!) so i have an idea of how to start planting up etc.... however I've read some posts in other forums, and people are mentioning the their Clown Loaches destroy most things that they plant.....

Is this the case ..... if so my plans are scuppered !!

My friend keeps them in his planted, and hasnt had any problems.

Ive heard them causing havoc in other peoples tanks tho.

Guess its a gamble.

mine were fine too, but some tend to nibble at the stems!

i learned this the hard way but have found if i put a couple of bigger stones at base of new plants he cant up root them so easily. I also use chopsticks to push algae wafers under the gravel in open area's these satisfy his dig and look nature.

Mine are fine with all my plants, they dug a bit at first but dont bother now
