I was wondering if a female can be ferilized by mulitple males or just one, like cats whom can have mulitple babies with mutiple daddies, are fish the same way or do they just have babies from one male? i hope that made sense

Hmm. That's news to me. I thought they could be impregnated by more than one male at once.

I just went and looked it up. Female guppies can and do mate with multiple males, regardless of whether or not they're storing sperm. There is quite a lot of evidence that shows the guppies have larger, stronger, better shoaling broods if they mate with multiple males.

I read this website once. It said that female guppies can be impregnated with sperm of many males at once, even when they're pregnant. The sperm just sort of wait till the next 'cycle'. Even when the female guppy may not reach sexual maturity, it may still carry sperm of male guppies.
