A Filter With A 10gallon Volume!

Ok, 2 powerhead will be working here one will be in the tank pumping water out and DOWN a tube of airline at a fast speed into a 10 gallon tank full of filter wool and all sorts of media and things then will be pumped at the same rate out through a tube into the other end of the tanks through a small cage in a corner buried in gravel which allows water to come out but no fish to get in.

Hope that picture and my explanation make sense and please tell me if this will work!

One pump or the other will not maintain the same flow rate, either the tank or the sump beneath will overflow.

O.K is there anyway i can get that sort of thing to qwork because i have a spare 10 gallon and i thought i could use it to filter the 100 gallon im buying when i move

Yes, it's called a sump. Do a search and you should find plenty of info.
