Lovely fish. What are the smaller cichlid looking fish? Very cool.View attachment 336195
(wild caught discus in 40b during qt; they have been moved to a 180 last week but don't have a good picture yet; they are very tempremental. Today they were in a very good mood and displaying themselves but yesterday when workers came over they where in a very stress mood in the very back corner. No changes in the aquarium - but i guess they didn't like strangers in the house).

May I ask How many a. Borelli in your tank and who are their tank mates? I am building a 60 gallon tank and was thinking of Apistogamma.male a. borelli (opal color morph)
Just the male and female; tank mates were mostly guppies. If the tank is shallow and has lots of floor space you might be ok with 2 males and several females but you have to scape it correctly to provide each male and female hiding places and territory boundaries. Borelli are one of the few species of apistogramma that can do ok in moderately medium water (tds 150 is ok for tank raised individual); many species of apistogramma require true blackwater if you want to breed them; others will do ok in slightly harder water. Tank raised sample can live in harder water but will not be able to breed.May I ask How many a. Borelli in your tank and who are their tank mates? Those guppies that go low risk aggression but most stay up in the top where there is a heavy plant layer. a. borelli is a bottom dwelling fish as are most species of apistogramma.Thank you. No aggression with the guppies?
1) a. sp Blutkehl; (2) very young L600 (pleco); (3) blue/black form of l. dorsigera sold as l. curviceps (4) fish sold as m. egregius - definitely a mesonauta but this genus is not well described. What species is the Apistogramma in the first picture in post #1?
What is the catfish next to the Apistogramma in post #1?
What species of Aequidens cichlid in post #3 under the discus?
