A Few Questions On Kribensis

right.
i have a beautiful pair of kribs. they are very healthy fish, picked as a pair.
they have already bred twice in the few months of me owning them.
all fry died due to the current tank/setup (hence the thread)

their new home is a <90 litre aquarium. filters/lights are no issue.

now for the questions...
1- what is the best substrate for them? i'm thinking sand...? or sokmething similar in size (possibly a mix)
2- what about tank mates? (i'd like some)
3- quite important... could i put a large shrimp/crayfish in with them (in future... with bigger tank)
4- anything else i should know/do when creating a new krib tank?
5- any suggestions on aquascapes?

Do want to breed them or just display them?
Sand or fine gravel or a mixture is fine.
Tank mates might include some danios or smaller tetras.
The crayfish probably not a good idea as they can catch and eat smaller fish at night.
Provide caves for the kribs at least one per fish, in case they want some alone time.
Plants will make them fell more comfortable.

right pal its all very simple im currently breeding 8 different strains of them .... sand is best as the parents and young sift through the sand for food and they parents also like to dig aswel ... a fine sand like silver sand will do it .... tank mates your going to want dither fish if any ... something like pencil fish as there small and fast (able to get away from the defending parents) and cos there smallish they cant eat the kribensis young .... you wont want any bottom feeders as the fry will get eaten or the parents will kill the bottom feeders ..... shrimp and crayfish not a chance as will attack parents or eat the fry
your going to want it densly planted with lots of hidding places like coconut caves and bogwood as this simulates there natural inviroment ... java moss is also very handy as it gives the young fry a place to hide

hahaha cheers mark lol yh if you want then i do have alot of videos of ones ive breed etc .... a good example would be where i had 3 pairs of pelvicachromis taenitaus spawn at exactly the same time lol
