A Few Questions For Marine Keepers.

mmmm not sure on the first as it doesn't look like its for aquariums....

the second has a large grain size.

what about this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CARIBSEA-ARAGONITE-SUGAR-SIZED-OOLITE-SAND-30LB-BAG_W0QQitemZ250533791522QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Fish?hash=item3a54fa4722

its very fine which is good for critters.

I have a T8 15w light currently running, would i be able to add to of these on the ends?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290373827069&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT (its actually 11W)

That would be in total 39W

What corals would i be able to keep with that lighting?

BUMP...!

And also how is this sand? http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/aquarium-supplies/aquarium-ornaments/natural-gravels-and-sand/coral-sand-and-marine-substrates/coral-sand-underworld-4k.html X2

Is the one in the link ok though?

or this http://www.warehouse-aquatics.co.uk/gravel-substrates-rock/marine-substrates/tmc-coral-gravel-fine-4kg-p-2891.html

I suppose what I should have said was that I wouldn't use coral sand.

Problems with crushed coral:

Can trap detritus more than aragonite

The particle size is too large and the edges are too sharp

Finer particle size substrate will provide a far greater surface area for colonization by beneficial bacteria

You may be right, I can't remember - but she is a bit of bargain hunter so she probably decided on the sand she wanted then googled it to find the best price
