A Few Pics Of My Flowerhorn.

Poor little dude got a bout of ICH during taking these pics. His KOK was covered!
Anyhoo, good old salt and high temps soon cleared it up!

I love this guy. He has so much agression!
The amount of blood he has drawn from me is insane!

Only problem is, you can't keep anything with him. This means no algae eaters, which means manual cleaning, this means finger/hand/arm munching time!
But I love him to bits, so it's all good.

God yeah!
When I take them out during maintenance he goes crazy!

He picks them up and swims around the tank with them in his lips.

Well they aren't for everyone.
But then I collect Snakeheads and Polypterus and never liked even the look of Flowerhorns until I got this guy for my kids.
Now it ranks right up there in my favorites!

i don't mind the way they look and the way they act

its we have millions of nice fish to pick from why do we need to make our own

another thing is we try to replicate a fish we keeps natural involvement what would you say the flower horns is

its also the impact it can have on the Eco system they hardly have the best temperament and i have been told that some of the public water ways in Singapore is now filled with unwanted flower horns now the craze had died out

Hey T1, no need to take anything back mate.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I actually happen to agree with you.

It's one of those situations where the little ones see a cute baby fish with bright Colors, and if dad doesn't buy it a sulking fit comes on!

That said this little fella grew on me, and once the kids got bored of it, dad had to take care of it!

Thought I would take a few snaps with him out of the water.

I've never seen a flowerhorn in the flesh before and don't think I realised how impressive they are muscle-wise. I wouldn't wanna mess with him, you are a brave man lol!
