#5 photo is of comet Hale-Bopp.
Usually you do not need a telescope to photograph them. I did use my 8" Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain for a drive though. I piggybacked my camera and a 400 mm telephoto lens to my film camera. I was then able to use the telescopes drive to follow the comet. I believe that is about a 5 - 8 minute exposure on 400 speed film.
