A Few Black/dark Fry

Hey again! Out of the 12 golden lyretail fry i have, 2 or there have black shading on them. One is real darker than the others. The dark coloring only seems to effect on half of the fish, and not the head and front belly. I got some pics of the darker one. They seem happy and content with their siblings, not strugling at all and eating normally. I haven't noticed anything on the mom. I don't know who the father is, as i got her pregnant from the LFS. The Black isn't even spreding to the other fry, so im confused. Maybe its just their coloring....

It's just their coloring. The older they get the more orange they will become or at least that's what mine did. Some of them have some black spots on them but very little black over all. Also, don't be dissapointed if you don't see any lyretails for a wile. My lyretail had 6 fry that survived and only one turned into a lyretail and that didn't happen until they were quite a bit older.

It sounds like your fry are colored like these ones.

A month later I couldn't find anby dark colors in the fish at all. They looked like this.

uh huh! just like that, now im just sad cuz in a month i won't be able to tell him/her apart from the others! Its my fav.... so cute! it seems bigger than the others! Each, im starting to see, has there own little way of doing things! So cute...
