Swiming in a pond. ...no, not really.
1. I've been debating whether or not to get a CT male now, (I'm getting 50$), and I really need to make room. I saw this absolutely beautiful steel blue CT male in a petshop, and I really want him.

I can rather clean off my bookshelf and put him and my other males there, or go with the original plan. My Kakashi's getting on in years, and I was going to wait for him to kick the bucket before I got a new male. OR I can get a 12$ barrack, and put him and my other two males in there with the females temporarily untill a new 10 gallon is aquired.

should I? Or should I get him now?

2. In the FAQ pinned, there is a link to a page about killing the current on a filter. It doesn't work, and my filter's current is a tad bit too powerful for my baby girls. I was wondering if anyone here knew how to do this?

3. I live in the Southern New England area, and I was going to get a lighted hood. Well, the cheapest one I can find is 20$ at Wal-mart. Damnit. Is there anyone in the area who can tell me where I can get one cheaper?

4. The surface tension on the tank is so thick that it's catching bubbles. It's starting to look like a bubblenest, and it kind of annoys me. All the females have Eggspots, so I'm pretty positive there are no males. How do I resolve this?

Some filters have a knob you can turn to adjust the water flow. UGF are more difficult to adjust the flow on but it can be done with valves usually. If you have a HOB filter you can block it with some plastic canvas or use a bottle slipped over the bottom to help.
