so in the past few days, a lot of good things have occurred to me.
1. my presumed dead assassin snail was found!, as some of you may remember I lost it in an accident, well, wouldn't you know it he was in my pond when I found it I almost cried out of happiness and I felt like a huge weight was lifted from my body and I have been monitoring it for a few days and all is ok with it, it even hunted!
2. I finally got around to buy more otocinclus, I had 5 but then 3 died one died from cancer the second one died from old age and the third one died because of an accident so for some time I only had 2 sad otos that were super-shy, but I bought 6 because they were on clearance and now I have 8 and they are all out and about exploring and the new 6 ones made a shoal with the 2 original ones and they are so happy and confident that they even go and eat in the front of the aquarium.
3. I got an Ancistrus dolichopterus wild type which was a dream fish of mine and even tho for some of you it may be a common fish here where I live they are quite hard to find and he is so cute! the cutest of boys.
4. my guppies and shrimp are breeding and surviving the cold weather, they are just thriving (I am still looking for those ghost shrimp tho).
5. my Microsorum is growing again, you see after some problems it died back and lost all of its leaves and only the rhizome and roots survived, and now it is giving out new growth.
6. my new pair of blue gourami (which I bought a few months back) is finally old enough to sex, and guess what? They are male and female so breeding may start soon! I nailed it and got a pair on the first try!
Anyway, I hope that your Christmas was as good as mine and filled with miracles just like mine.
Thanks for reading .
