A boy and his dogs

The pup(Toffee) is about 8 months old now and nearly as big as our 11 year old dog(Smoky).Both are near as big as the boy who is also 11

Toffee is so cute!

Cute yes...but don't let her innocent look fool you

She tries to hog all the lovin and all the food and all the walks

Even with two big bowls of dog food she will stand and bark at poor Smoke when he's eating She pounces at him when I grab the leash.She's really comical when she tries to play with two toys at the same time

And of course,she thinks the whole world revolves around her furry tail and she tries to catch it several times a day

Sounds like you have a power struggle emerging though between your dogs. One of them needs to be dominant and an 8 month old is testing her limits.
If Smoke is dominant be sure to give him pets first and feed him first to reinforce the pack order... it may be cute puppy stuff now, but she's gunna be a big dog soon
