Q.Were dinosaurs reptiles?
A.Actually, dinosaurs are bird-like animals, with a similar anatomy and lifestyle. They used to be classified as reptiles, or lizards, but now we have all the evidence in the world to say that "no, dinosaurs are more birdlike". Yet, this is still a widely debated subject.
nmonks said:.....It would be incorrect to say dinosaurs are birds; most of the Mesozoic ones were not feathered, and the bird-hipped ones were only quite distantly related to modern birds. But it is, however, correct to say that birds are dinosaurs. Zoologist don't generally talk about birds that way simply because it isn't convenient to do so, but as a statement of science it appears to be absolutely correct.....

As a whole dinosaurs are basically like birds so science has renamed them birds. They had the same anatomy and lifestyle. My brother left all his dinosaur books here and i seem to have taken a fancy to reading them. All 46 are real, proper books not little kids books. He is and he has sat and read through every single one, even he can say that dinosaurs are birds. My brother is 4! He knows dinosaurs better than me and i'm 13! I used to read through dinosaur book like there was no tomorrow.
Anywho.
