Arg. I made the mistake of checking out the betta section at Petland today, and I saw a mustard gas crowntail, something I've been planning to put in my split 10 gal once I get it going. I was soooo tempted to buy him, but I don't even have so much as a vase to put him in.

Then of course, once I got to work(Petcetera) I got to clean all the betta cups....Not a good place for me XD "Oooh, you're pretty...Oooo!" Took and hour and a half of cleaning. In that time, a 10 year old boy ended up staring at me and waching me clean them, then following me as I placed them back on the shelf, completely mesmerised! I can understand it, they're too pretty not to look at XD

Lol not something you hear much of here someone seeing the betta they want and turning away lol. :hyper:

You know he wanted to go home with you though lol :shifty:

:shifty: :shifty: you need to go and get him. I dont believe you have nothing to put him in!

Technicly I could go get a vase from Salvation Army, but I still won't have my tank set up for at least another month. I'd feel a little bad.

ARG....

I'll probably end up going to get him Tuesday XD

I didn't get to go today. I'm in the process of guilting my mom, but really I probably won't have a chance to go. Its a bit of a drive, and over a natoriously horrible for traffic bridge. So its not looking so good. Hes probably gone :(. They always have beautiful bettas there. I got my HM boy Galileo there.

OK, so the Aussies are just slightly ahead of our time, lol...

I'm sorry about that, Jessica, but you never really know, do you?
A few times I've walked away from fish only to encounter them a week or even a month later, still waiting in the LFS for ME!
And not always because they had problems either...

Although I'm impressed that you work in a pet store and manage to leave room in the house for furniture...
I guess living with parents has that (rather wasteful) effect - they tend to like furniture better than fish tanks, and we just have to be tactful about it...

Its sad, but lesson learned. And like I said, they're guaranteed to have gorgeous CTs and HMs.

You have no idea how hard it is when I'm unpacking bettas! Granted, we never get really nice ones, and only ever VTs, and I don't particularly like them.

But the other fish want me to take them home too.

Except the creepy African Butterfly Fish... We feed them crickets.
