Ok, so I have already a couple of harlequins and rummynoses (4 and 3 respectively)... (for anyone going on the inches of fish to gallon rule, they come to 7inches - I know, they're stunted). however, I dont want to buy more of these types, because these are already 4 years old, have been in a dire tank (I'm dreading entering my prep room tomorrow for fear of deaths), and in the long run, I dont want these types of fish in the tank.

So I was thinking of adding 6/7 pygmy corys and 6 - 10 mosquito chilli rasboras.

Any thoughts? or should I just get the corys?

Sounds good to me :) I would do

8 Chilli Rasbora
5 Rummy Nose
5 Harlequins
8 Pygmy Cories

Wills :)

they wont take them because they're so old :-( I've already tried them. They also said they wouldn't take the one with one eye poor little thing.

I'm shocked (and delighted) to find they're all alive this morning :D and looking healthier too.

I could up the numbers... but I'm just worried about staggering their ages.

came in this morning to find 1 of the rummy nose and 1 harlequin dead. I think they've had enough to be honest. I'm going to wait for these to pass on and then I'll stock from scratch.

I was thinking:

6/7 pygmy corys
7 mosquito chilli rasboras
7 neon tetras (although this may change)
and a dwarf gourami

plus some shrimp and pink ramshorns.

Overkill?

Im sure someone would take them for free if you put them under Livestock in the classifieds as collection only...

sorry, that should have been 2 rummy nose and 1 harlequin.. 2 more harlequin deaths today, so now there is only 1 rummy nose and 1 harlequin left. I've been sat crying for the past hour. It's so horrible, and I think me trying to save them and just stressing thm has killed them, but I was only trying to help :-(

bleh no more fishies. Too much stress I think so I'm stripping down the tank and starting again. I'm going to keep a cycle going by adding ammonia until I can decide on fish so I really need you guys help

It's 96litres. I was thinking (depending on compatibility):

6 x pygmy corys
7 x mosquito chilli rasboras
2 x endlers (pair)
2 x bumblebee platys (pair)
cherry shrimp
pink ramshorns

Any thoughts? could really do with some help

Sorry to hear about the losses, it may not have been stress that killed them, it could have been an infection or something. I had something in mine that killed 10 fish in a period of a week (10 out of 60) had to medicate to stop the problem. But i guess if your stripping the tank down you should get rid of this, if there is anything.

Oh have you seen Microrasbora Erythromicron? This could be another option for you. I'v wanted some for ages but never seen them.

Not sure on compatibility for everything else, but my endlers seem very friendly, often swimming around with my galaxy rasbora
