8L Tank

Only shrimp, they'd be good in a tank that size

A Male Betta would be okay, but it would be a waste, Betta's are crap over-rated fish.

I have a 7.6 liter Fluval Spec and I would never put a fighter in there! The flow would be way too intense and now enough space.

I have 3 cherry shrimp which already have eggs as I have 1 male 2 female and I might up them to 6 shrimp or just keep babies and I'm going to try a pair of scarlet badis. ATM they are half the size of the cherry shrimp lol

8 litres isn't a tank, it's a washing up bowl.

The question was 'are there any fish suitable', and in my opinion, no - but I do take it back, as I think my washing up bowl is actually slightly bigger than 8l.

Lol Soybean, i was going to point that out but didnt feel the need to get up and look if the washing up bowl was actually more than 8L or not.

I dont think its a bad thing to point out species that can live in 8L, there is still loads you can do, even without fish.

To be honest, a pair of sparkling gouramis would most likely be ok as would some of the species of Badis. Probably even room for one of the more unusual smaller species of fighter.

Lots of different species of shrimps and snails. I want one of the German Pink Ramshorns for my Spec. The Zebra Nerites look good too...

Just because you dont like Pico tanks, doesnt mean it isnt possible for others to come up with great little habitats.

There is a journal for a fluval spec in the right section which made me want to set up one and it looks great! worth a look!

For me its more the growing the moss in a cool way, the cherry shrimp keep the moss clean and make it grow better!

I think keeping the flow low enough in an 8L tank for a Betta Splendens would be too difficult.

I have a love/hate relationship with fighter. I happen to think they are awful wussy poncy fish that irritate the heck out of all other wish until even the most docile fish gets hacked off and takes a bite. They cant even swim properly with their daft and unnaturally long tails and get exhausted easily and need to rest a lot and so on...

And yet whenever i see a really pretty one or get a delivery i get all excited as they can be pretty cute LOL

I dont think i would ever lower my standards to own a Betta Splendens again... but some of the less common species i would if i could afford it like the Betta macrostoma (sp?).

I had a beautiful (leucistic?) pure white halfmoon male with blue eyes called Sooty living in my 4ft planted tank with a serious amount of other fish he should never have got on with. But mostly the breeding pair of kribensis! He kicked the female out of their cave and he used to live in the cave with the male Kribensis LOL :good: they were both very anti women as Sooty hated female fighters too lol (took her out again pretty quick when Sooty and male Krib ganged up on her).

Wish id taken photos of the cave entrance with Sooty's face and the Kribs peering out next to each other lol.
