So over the weekend, I noticed one of my danios is bent. I don't know if it suddenly happened to him or if he's been developing like this. I should be paying closer attention; I feel bad. :( Anyway, he is swimming aroung and with and without the rest happily like the others. He has no cuts and no scrapes. So I think he's fine like this; what does everyone else think??

Here's pics. Sorry for the flash, but I need it on -- they're so fast.

The bent guy; it looks like he has a hump too.

These fish are not my cup of tea, but great photos.
The bent one is proberbly a genetic defect caused by inbreeding in the lab where they are made,
as long as it is eating well and grouping with the others, there is no reason that it shouldn't live a full life.

Thanks for the reply, Wolf; that gives me piece of mind. :D

Also comments and critiques of my pictures are always welcomed!

They are some of the better glofish photos I've seen. I don't have a bug about glofish besides they're just too damned expensive. :p I had a female albino aeneus cory with a "hunch" back which was also genetic. Usually this doesn't hinder the fish, especially if they make it to adulthood.

Thanks for the comment, Teelie!

UPDATE:
Uh-oh, new issue. Just looked in on them and one of them (the runt of the pack) seems to be resting on the bottom just staying in one spot basically. He is moving his fins but he's just staying in one spot; back and forth a little bit, but that's it --- that's new. I hope he's okay. All the rest including the hunchback is swimming all around and happy except the runt. :/

My ammonia is 0, my nitrite is 0, and my pH is 7.4, but my water has always been a little high pH-wise.

Thanks Wolf. I'll take a better look in the morning. He was back swimming with the rest a half-hour ago and now again back to his spot. Should I do a water change or add salt?

The runt is back playing and swimming in and out everyone again. Looks happy and energetic today. Guess I just need to watch my tank and everyone in it more closely.

I had a zebra danio that had a severe bent spine, and it was to the point i was considering killing it because it looked so painful. However i left it in there and it survived by resting on the substrate like you said yours did every once and a while. The death of it came not because of the awkward behavior, but because it got stuck in the co2 diffuser.
