75 gal FW

great tank.

may i ask how much the boesman rainbows cost? and where you live. because there like 18$aud here an there native to new guinea and thats so close to australia.

cheers

This has got to be one of my favorite tanks, fish wise, that I've ever looked at. I'm actually about to setup a tank that I would like to be very similar, except in a 55 gallon. I do have a couple questions. What are the little dark blue guys that I see swimming around? I really like their color. Are they turqoise danios? Also, what are the little guys with the white bodies and yellow noses? I really like them.

Wow thanks everyone!

garbodude - The rainbows werea i think about 12$ USD... but im not sure bc we know all the LFS owners up here.. so we kinda get off easy ;) They are worth it though... great color.. very very heardy eaters. They pair off great

hileytr - thanks alot. That must be one of the nicest things.. :D i think the blue guys you are refering to might be just neon tetra's. I have a bout 10 in there and they school great. i have one that had gained a little wieght and has clained a cave and defends it.. odd but true.
The other one's you were questioing me about are the rams... i forget (oops) what exact origin they are (im really sorry) but they are african. very nice harmless fish! Very colorful and fun to watch.

i have better pics if you would like to see.

I would love to see better pics. Are they perhaps gold rams?

:kewlpics: Like everyone else has said, that tank looks great.

Are any of those real plants or are they all plastic?

Keep up the good work. I planed on changing mine to sand and now I want do it even more.

Thanks B)

Barracuda518 - They are a mix of real and fake.. . at thge time it was too much for me to get all the plants at once so it seemed to fill in nicey with some fake..

This sand is great. as soon as i can remmeber exactly what it was i will tell you. haha

here are a couple more pics... have to use flash bc the wont stay still :(

Yep, those are gold rams. I'm going to buy some as soon as I get my new tank setup. Thanks for the pics. It is always nice to see pictures of the fish I'm going to buy in an actual aquarium, always hard to tell looking at store's pics, etc.

wow lovely tank  did you say you had a frontosa, i would love a pair of them , i'm going to wait till i get the fish room set up and then i will be investing in a pair as i just love them

:kewlpics:

WOW I love your rainbow fish :hyper: I've been saying this for over a month now but I truely am going to get some dwarf neon rainbows soon :p

:kewlpics:

the catfish you are talking about are incandecient sharks, or blue sharks or incandecient blue sharks, dont know the scientific name of them but u could look it up. thats my guess but im pretty sure. due to australias strict importation laws (their not alowed here) the sell for over 100$ each - couldnt bring myself to spend that much- i like them though .

ID Sharks get to 3-4 feet in an aquarium :( so those three you have, you will need a MASSIVE tank. Probably should get rid of them before you get attached.... i hate losing fish i get attached to

Those aren't ID sharks!!

They are Debauwi catfish, also known as African Glass catfish, yours look fully grown (2.5-3"). Very active catfish, especially in a dark tank, yours looks perfect.

Only thing I would suggest is to maybe get more of them, they love being in large groups.

I have 6 of them and they are crazy! :fun:

thanks everyone!

And thanks for the fast repsones to my catfish question..

bunjiweb I wish i could get more, but to my surprise i cant find any. i bought the only 3 that they had and ....yet to find them again ANYWHERE. I hope to hind more. i would liek to have 5-6 all together. they are so fun to watch bc they are always together

woodie I had a bout 8 frontosa and i absolutley love dthem and would do it again in a heart beat. but i had a tragic mishap w/ water temp and lost a couple an dwas devistated... BUT ANYWAY! I would suggestto anyone to raise them... but its best to do in larger groups.. like 7 or so. atleast from my experience and such.
