7.6 Foot Tank Stand Build

hi all, just like to show you all my 1st tank stand build, its for my new 7'6" tank, they main weight bearing will be taken by the 2x2 frame and then some chinesse 12mm ply to make it look abit better

Main Frame

Back on with cutout for pipes etc

Side one on

side two one and one of the uprights done in ply

to do, doors, shelfs for middle that will be left open, sanding and varnishing.




also after one of my 3 footers cracked and leaked in the week i was stuck for a tank so had to dig out a old corner tank, problem was no stand so knocked a quick one up

todays update,

added the center peices for the open bit and cut n fitted one set of doors

That is a nice looking stand you have Boost. Are you building a tank hood to match it?

i think so, i have the old one that was on it, dunno if im goning to reuse that one or make a new one, i think i will prob end up making a new one,

so desided to add a matching hood

bloody woods bowed, so hoping when hidged and left it will settle

the tank is the garage, somewhere in the rubbish i cahnged it to sit lower than in this pic

Looks well built. Whats the width of the tank and how many tanks have you got full and empty

got sod all done today, added lid and thats about it

started to add everything for the lights today

Not the bulbs im going to be using, just some spares i had

started to varnish
