64L Tank (How Many Fish)

2 fish swim together and 1 swims and hides. Ive spoke to another local fish place that have confirmed 2 males and 1 female. Im going to get 3 more females shortly but going to get a different colour from red ones i have will the colour matter?

Yay :) Another 3 will make them all a little happier. Colour doesn't matter, go for whatever you fancy. My male is a sunburst, and the three females that I have are wagtail, tuxedo and rainbow. The excitement comes later when the females are pregnant and you try and guess what the babies will look like :D

Im going for 3 black like these ones

Just keep in mind that adding fish while doing a fish-in cycle is only going to make life harder for everyone!

Good point ill test the water tonight and see what it is sitting at and go from there.

Have exactly the same tank as you but I upgraded the PF2 that comes with it to a Fluval U2. :) Stocking is in my sig.

EDIT: Always thought it was 65 litres, so apologies about that :)

They look great, one of mine looks like that. I think it is the tuxedo variety.

Good point with the water testing, forgot about that got stuck on the platies :)

Well i got the 3 platys today after checking the water last night and today. So my tank now has

3 Black platys
3 Red Platys
6 Cradianl Tetras

The other half wants to get some guppys we saw today but im going to see how these settle in and room left as i dont want to over load the tank.

Congrats on the new additions :D You can now look forward to many babies, it's great watching them grow.

Guppies would go well with your set-up, but I think it would really be overloaded. Give the platies time to settle down first and maybe by then you want to upgrade to a bigger tank anyway. Fish are addictive :fun:
