Looking good beth, I'm not sure if the plant at the far left is aquatic though, it looks like some kind of Japonica. Also, apples shouldn't really be bothered about plants, they have been known to starve in a planted tank. That plant looks like a crypt to me and could have melted, like most do when newly planted. Leave it where it is and it and it should grow back

The long grass like plant?

I think that plant the snail dismantled was a favored plant all round. The khulis have been wrapping round it, bettas sitting in it, I think the weight of the snail was the last straw

I've managed to cut back the Cabomba today, looking less crowded but give it another week

I leave all lights off at night, that's not any issue for the plants, is it?

yeah, the long grass plant, having looked at your other pics in you other thread, i'm almost certain. It will rot away, and it'll produce ammonia spikes. They do grow well in gardens though.

As for lighting, what are you running on that tank? is it an elite...cos if so it'll be a 20 watt light, so your running low light. The light should be on for 8 hours max, the plants don't need anymore.

The light is the elite one in the hood.

That plant i got from an aquatics center
