My first aquarium is currently cycling and I'm thinking of what to stock it with once it's ready. Here is a list of some fish that I'm interested in:

Guppys
Neon Tetras
Mollys
Neon Green Rasbora
Platys
Endlers
Dwarf Gourami
Neon Dwarf Rainbowfish
Harlequin Rasbora

Looking for some input on which of these fish would be a good combination and quantities. More suggestions are also welcome! I definitely want some male Guppies. I would love Neon Tetras but I'm seeing mixed opinions on if my tank is big enough for a school of them. Its a 60 litre planted tank. My pH is 7.6 and GH is 10.

Thanks in advance :)

A 60 liter (15 gallon) tank is insufficient for mollies, they attain 3 inches/7 cm (male) and 4-5 inches/10-12 cm (female). Platy could, but it would be pushing things and they would be it. I would forget the Dwarf Gourami in this small a tank, though a pair on their own would work (assume you want a community, correct me if mistaken), and they also have the disease risk. Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish need more space, for a group.

Guppies, platies, mollies and endlers are hard water fish, while the others are soft wayer. Stick to one group or the other. I see you have your heart set on male guppies. You could probably have about 17 male guppies or endlers or a mix of both in this size tank. Mollies grow to 5 inches when healthy so are too large for this many gallons. If you wanted to throw some platies in there you could probably have about 5 of those with 8 guppies/endlers

17 guppies is way too many for a 15 gallon. Maybe 8 would be fine

It depends on how much you feed them and how often, and how often you clean the tank. If you feed them once every day or every other day, and do a 60-70 percent water change every week it would work. Another factor is that they are all males and would not reproduce. I would not start out with that many starting with 5 or 6 and waiting a few weeks before adding the rest

Yeah I would like a community tank if possible. I’ll take them off my list then. Do you have any other ideas of what I could keep with Guppies in this tank? Do you think Neon Tetras are still an option?

Neon tetras are soft water so no, if you eliminated the guppies and other hard water fish, you could have a small group of harlequins, neon tetras are recommended to have a slightly larger or at least longer tank because they are active swimmers. If this is one of the less common 15 gallon tanks that are short and long it may work for you to have some neons. Ember tetras and otocinclus catfish are another option as well as snails and shrimp. :)

I forgot the neon green rasbora, those would work too. You could have a centerpiece pair of killifish too. I'd say maybe do 7-10 of one type of rasboras and a pair or single killifish with a number of red cherry shrimp would be an awesome tank

The tank is 61x31x31cm. If possible I’m thinking of doing 3 guppies and 7 neon tetras

You could add a couple more neon tetras.
