So i have a 60 gallon tank right...it has 2 and a half times the filtration needed(canister filter(1200lph) and extra clip-on aquaclear filter 800lph) and is fully oxygenated, well planted and has ALOT of hiding places made of caves, and rocks and other ornaments.I perform a 15% water change every week or so. The water parameters always seem to be in good shape. It's a commuity aquarium and all the fish seem to be getting along well... in the tank i have:

1 golden chinese algae eater(15cm)
3 clown loaches(one is about 15 cm the other two 8cm)
1 bala shark(20cm)
5 tigerbarbs(5cm)
10 neons(2.5cm)
1 kissing gourami(10cm)
and 2 bristle nose catfish(8cm)

Are there too many fish in the tank and if there are will this stunt the growth of the fish??

That seems pretty much okay.
Generally the rule is 1 gallon per inch of fish. I like to add alittle more just in case and for space to grow.
Also yes, usually if a tank is overstocked it will stunt the growth of the fish.

Thanks for that=]

One more thing...am i eventually gonna need a bigger tank for the clown loaches or the bala shark?

I don't think you should have all too many problems even if they do grow a bit more. Unless they start to bully the smaller fish which shouldn't be a problem because they grew up with them. I also doubt that they will grow to their full potential anyway but if they do then you will bit a little overstocked but not in any dangerous way. Especially because it seems your tanks is very well oxygenated and filtered =)

Great!

They seem to be growing veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrryyyyyyyyy slowly anyways :good:

Yes, in the long run, you will need a bigger tank. Both bala sharks and clown loaches are schooling fish, and grow to be over 9 inches each if kept long enough. You will require a tank almost double the size in a couple of years. Did you research the fish before buying them? And Kpris, it's one SQUARE inch of fish per gallon of water. Trust me, a 20 inch arowana would probably not fit in a 20G tank.

yes like this guy said, I was going to get a bala shark for my 300L arriving soon, but was scared out of that when seeing their potential size. ALso check thise video to see how big clowns can really get, this scared the $%£" out of me, because I allready have 4, and I will have to upgrade in a few years if they get close to this size :D
