yeh, good results, but only because of the water change perhaps.
Listen, your filter media... only need 2 in there. A primary mechanical filter - i.e. while wool / foam stuff to catch any floating particles that should be replaced about once per month and the rest bio supportive, i.e. blue sponge stuff.
Carbon is useless if used for more than 2 days & should ONLY be used to remove meds after a course.
