The 6 danios I've had right from the beginning of setting up my 64l tank have grown considerably and seem to be dominating the tank a bit.The other fish seem to be hiding away while the 6 danios swim backwards and forwards very confidently. Are they now not appropriate in this size tank?? Any advice/ experience welcome.

6 zebra danios
1 male dwarf gourami
1 female dwarf gourami
1 male honey gourami
1 female honey gourami
3 neon tetras
1 Siamese Fighter
2 male guppies

I had 6 neon but have had losses in the last few days. I'm going away for a while and concerned about Danios causing problems while we're away????

Water parameters are all good. Did 25% water change yesterday ready for us being away. Friend coming in to feed.

They've lasted this long, they'll be ok while you're away, but they would prefer a bigger home and also prefer cooler temperate temperatures.

Thanks swanseatilo. I feel reassured. I'm sure many people here have come home from a holiday to find a disaster, but I'm not going to fret about that! Too many other things to fret about!!

Hmm, interesting. Was going to get some Danilos for my 64l tank as well, probably change my mind now!

Slightly off-topic I know, but I hope you don't mind me pointing this out.

Siamese Fighters often do not get on well with either gouramis and guppies. I would strongly recommend you watch for any signs of the gouramis having a go at the fighter, or the fighter having a go at the guppies.

That is a good point.

How are your gouramis getting on with your fighter?
