Is it possible to set up a small 5gal tank just for cleaner shrimp?

I love these things but i dont want anything else lol.

I dont have enough funds or space for a larger tank, so i was thining of setting up a 5gal tank with a bit of liverock, no corals or anything, and 2-3 cleaner shrimp.

will this work? would it need to be filtered? what equipment would i need?

I would have thought if you put a nice chunk or two of live rock in, possibly a protein skimmer (*cough* free *cough*), small power head to avoid it being stagnant, would sort it out nicely. Shrimps wont create much bioload I wouldn't have thought.

Also, you could do with a couple of hermits in there... just cos they're so cool

yeah cooolio. so it seems all i need to buy is the live rock, shrimp and hydrometer...

unless you can supply that too?

Yeh, sounds cool

I think you def do it Spose it might cost a bit... live rock, £11 a kilo or something, hydrometer £15 or so, couple shrimp at £15 each... but it would be cool plus you could have a go at raising baba's

there are fish you could keep in a 5 gallon if you wanted to, some of the smaller gobies would be ok in there
