Hi, I have just bought a 5ft Juwel RIO 400 and i am wondering which is the best pump / filter to get? As it is currently running a 305 which is not man enough for the job. So what would you recommend getting for 400litre tank - was looking at a fluval 405 but they are known to leak. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks :D

Depends entirely on the type of fish you have in mind...

If you are centring your stocking around fish that are not great fans of current and are not messy eaters, a single Fluval FX5 with a small powerhead (to waft debris gently towards its inpipe) would suffice.

If you have messy eaters (puffers, Mbuna etc) or riverine fish (like the fish in my 4-foot and 5-foot) in mind, you are going to need two filters (eg. an FX5 with an APS2000EF or Eheim 2078), possibly with an extra powerhead for extra current and debris wafting.

Hi, Its a community tank, with tetra, guppies, platties, clown loach ect
