5'c

I can not buy a heater. It would be to exspensive to run as the air temperature outside is 1c.

I called the authorities and they said i can take fish out aslong as i do not release them to any other lake etc.

It is not tresspassing, it is a public canal.

I am going tomorrow. I will see what I can catch.

See what you can catch? Do you even know what sort of fish dwell in your local waters and how to look after them? Are you aware that you tank is too small for a large percentage of coldwater fish? How are you going to catch the fish? Do you know how to cycle the tank or even what cycling tanks means? I hope you are not just going to go out and grab a load of fish and stick them in the tank as it currently stands...

Tokis do you think I am stupid?
I wouldn't dare keep a fish if I didn't know what it was! And yes I DO know what dwells in local waters!
My tank IS cycled.

Tokis, I am not some retarded newbie who knows nothing, I have been keeping fish for 4 years now.

How am i going to catch them? Well I am going to use something called a fishing rod, Something speciffically designed for the job.

Thanks

I never said you were retarded/newbie/stupid, but your lack info in your plans on what you are going to do is worrying- simply saying "I will see what I can catch" is not going to re-assure anyone that you know what you are doing.
And secondly, i really do not like the theory that "years=knowledge"; for all i care, you could have been keeping a goldfish in a bowl for those 4years of fishkeeping. If you want me to not question what you are doing and also assure me and others you know what you are doing, show us you know what you are doing by the info you give in your posts!
Also, does the tank have fish in it currently? How exactly did you go about cycling the tank exactly?

Well I've been keeping fish for 20 years.

I been in fish farming for 8 years.

I studied fish, fish farming and British water's, lakes and rives for 2 years at Sparsholt college.

I'm now working in aquatic maintenance and see plenty of problem every week.

I would think i have some idea's and think if someone lurns from what I've done for 2/3's of my life the I'm doing a good job.

Get some miller's thumb or minnows or stickelback and watch how quick they die.

get a Piranha James u see how fast they can bite ur fingers off

personally i would leave the fishs in the canal well alone, and yes i do river fishin and sea some day u dont catch them some day u do as the fishs are being feeded plus it relaxin, fun calm peaceful day out , for river when catch them i put in the fish nets b4 i release them all so i can take pics of my enjoyable day and the fun i caught... so basically why not get tropical as someone mention............

river fishin

sea fishin

all been put back now these conger eel are lovely species but damn they grow up to 8 foots except the last pics the whiting which i kept as in good size to cook for me cat in morning breakfast luxury

Iv'e already said I am not going tropical! The heater would be on 24/7!!!!
