55 Gallon Set Up

Yep If dad can be nice enough to drive me arund tomorrow im going ot get it.

And start pu the journal.

I Look forward to seeing this 55 gallon.

I WAS offered a marine set up from my uncles mate.

but I Dont have the experaince/tiime for a marine set up
and it sounds like too much work

its actually not that much, you need live rock for the filter, special lights for the corals, premixed saltwater if your lazy, and maybe a sump or protein skimmer but thats for bigger than 30 gallons. o yeah power heads and sand and of course fish.

and i cant start on the juornal till the new counter tops in, then i can move the 55 and the fish and then it will begin!!

well im kinda gettin pushed into doing this as my dad has always wanted salt water, right now hes even going thru me what he wants to stock so i can inform the people here to help me.

Coencidence!!! my brother just gota 55G tank today. its also good for me because I get his 10G. :D

Just to warn you I had a 6" rapheal and he snacked on my mollies. IMO though it really depends if you keep him well fed or not. If he is kept fat he probably won't bother the fish.

this is whatit ried to tell my dad, but he doesnt want me trading in any fish, i heard tht mollys can be acclimated to salt water, is thAT true? then that just leaves the M. praecox...

i believe it is true, but they usually dont last very long, maybe a month or two, i asked if you could do something sort of lie that, read this(post #4) it might sort of answer your question

i heard black mollies can slowly adapt to saltwater? and they become immune to Ick and fungas infection.. and there slime coat gets better

but i tihkn its jibberish.

I keep m.praecox with raphaels and have done for over 18 months. My raphs are about 4.5-5" Just keep them well fed and have plenty of cover for the rainbows.

yeah.. that seems a bit far fetched, though it might be true and surprise us all

well my raph is pretty fat and tiny so he wont be of concern for now, plus my dad said no fat *** fish in the salt tank lol. so iguess the stocking stays... some one please confirm thisi cant start my journal till both stockings are finalized.
( the 55 gallon set up and the 20 set up.)

is the stocking ok? ill just assume its fine since everyone is only talking about if the raph will eventually eat the mollies which i add are also very fine specimens of balloon mollys

Hello? Why isn't anybody answering me? All I need is a simple reply of yes it is okay or no it is not!
