thanks for all the replies everyone! i got some more pics. i finally got the pool filter sand and drift wood in the tank, as well as got my filter setup running through my external co2 reactor. the tank has begun to cycle yesterday. i plan on adding plants hopefully next week after i get the hood built for my 110W PCF. then i will wait a week or two to stock. i am hoping to give the plants a head start on growth since they will undoubtedly be pecked at a bit. I got plenty of pics from different angles as well as one of the jets powered by the maxijet 900. the last 2 pics are of underneath my stand. shows my xp2, co2 bottle and reg, as well as my DIY inline reactor. the co2 is not hooked up yet, not until i get my hoods and lights hooked up will i fill the co2 and start injecting. soon a coralife digital timer and ph controller are to be added. also the powerhead on the right front is just for cycling the tank, it will be removed once it is done.

enjoy!

gsta13concreted, i went to home depot(hardware store) and bought some quikrete hydraulic water stop, you can also use quikrete mortar mix to use as well. you then mix the concrete with water into a paintable thickness and start painting the concrete on. once it dries, it is a rock...literally.

here is a really good one with lots of how to info.

Wow, great work as usual. I too cant wait to see it with plants :D

Wow great work, i wish i had the creativness, time and patience to do something like this.
I am gonna stick with the easy option, ready made.! :shifty:

Ok, co2 is running, and plants are in. I am starting with 2 Cryptocoryne lutea, 3 bunches of Amazon swords and 2 Anubias bastifolia..2 pieces of which are attached to Malaysian driftwood. I also took a little piece of it off that I also planted in hopes of a 3rd anubias to grow.

alright, i put the finishing touches on the tank today. installed the cold cathode moon lighting and a surface skimmer to rid the protein film from building up. that means all i have to do is add the fish now. hopefully this is the week i get my fish.
